In-app Delete Account flow

The IT Guy includes an in-app Delete Account flow. You can use it from inside the app to delete your account and associated online app data according to the implemented deletion process.

After a successful in-app account deletion, the app wipes local cache and notifications on that device.

Email deletion request

You can also request account deletion by emailing support@theitguyapp.com. Please send the request from the email address linked to your account when possible.

We aim to review and process account deletion requests within 30 days, unless limited retention is required for security, abuse prevention, legal, billing, dispute handling, or operational reasons.

Online and local data

Deleting an online account removes the online account and associated online app data according to the implemented deletion process.

For a successful in-app deletion, the app also wipes local cache and notifications on that device. If deletion is requested outside the app by email, or if local/offline data remains on another device, that local data may remain until deleted inside the app, cleared from Android app settings, or removed by uninstalling the app.

If you only used Guest/local mode, there may be no online account data to delete.

Shared workspaces

If you own shared workspaces, deleting your account may delete or affect shared workspace data for other members. The in-app deletion flow should show warnings where applicable.

Passwords and passphrases

Account deletion does not recover forgotten export passwords or credential passphrases.

Keep any export files, export passwords, and credential passphrases safe before deleting data you may still need.
